Clare College has reached an inevitable moment in its history. Old Court and the Great Hall are in need of fundamental conservation, restoration and renewal.
Working in harmony with the existing architecture, the restoration will equip the College to provide spaces fit for today and generations to come.

Clare College Library
The College library for Clare College is the Forbes Mellon Library. It is conveniently located in the centre of Memorial Court, and is available to all undergraduate and postgraduate students in the College.
The Library provides a welcoming space for study and a collection of books to support core reading for all undergraduate subjects. The small friendly team of Library staff support students with finding the print and electronic resources they need for their studies.
All new students are given a library induction to introduce them to the College Library and to the wider network of libraries in the University. College Library staff also provide academic skills support for undergraduates, including introductory information for first years as they make a start on their university studies.
The library catalogue, iDiscover, provides details for the print books held by the College Library and other libraries, as well as the electronic books and journals which are available to members of the University.
